HOW TO UPDATE:
0) !! CHARGE YOUR BATTERY !!
1) Synchronise with Outlook (or backup all your data somehow)
2) Copy the following files to the root of your freshly formated microSD card (formated into FAT16 filesystem) card:
     - USBDLUpdate_Console.exe
     - temp.bin
3) Put the card into X500
4) Enter bootloader mode (press and hold Camera button, Record button [the one is close to
    vol+/vol- buttons] and Power button; press Reset while keeping all above buttons PRESSED;
    keep the buttons PRESSED [except Reset] until X500 shows "USB Downloader ***" etc.)
5) If your card is formated correctly, you should see the following info:
     USB Downloader 0019
     Flash Capacity=128MB

     USB Downloader Ready.
     SD Card In
     Find SDMMC Card.
     File= TEMP    BIN
     Program Image from SDMMC
     [etc]

6) The flashing should start. Wait till it passes "EDGE Download status : " and finally
    shows "USB host is not connected yet."
7) Make a HARD-RESET: remove the battery for a couple of seconds, reinsert it, close the
    back cover, press and hold Hangup button (red one;), press Power button. Keep the Hangup
    pressed until "Errase all data" question appears. As soon as it pops up, release the Hangup
    button and press and hold Left Softkey.

chłopaki a tak z ciekawości moglibyście sprawdzić czy na tym ROMie działa polska nakładka? Na obydwóch modelach (M700 i X500)?

Czy tę nakładkę po przetestowaniu (14 dniach) trzeba kasować za pomocą HR czy po wykupieniu licencji wklepuje się tylko numerek ?

Teoretycznie działa przedział pamięci taki sam jak na oryginalnym romie bez aplikacji etena ale i tak trzeba po wgraniu jeszcze dopieścić.
Ja poszedłem dalej zmieniłem:

• PP z 8 na 6
• SKTools/Optimize zmieniłem na Performance
• kody USSD poprawiłem z rączki
• przyśpieszyłem transfer karty SD na 256
• MMS'y odpaliłem za pomocą CSP.exe

jeszcze uaktualnienie pakietu Office, wgranie AutoMapy, konfiguracja Netu i MMS'ów oraz SPB Pocket Plus 4.0.2 PL  i zobaczę jak długo pociągnie.

Niewiem co to za kody USSD.

Jak na parę godzin zabawy wszystko jest OK po restarcie ze wszystkimi programikami co zainstalowałem mam 32MB wolne a kody USSD to np: sprawdzenie stanu konta *101#

z dziwnych przypadków:

• nie działa kart SD 1GB GoodRam (na poprzednim sterowniku działała)  , a Kingston 1GB SD działa
• nie działa Satellite Data Update (nie wiem po co to jest zostawione)
• po zainstalowaniu SKTools w zakładce Programs przymroziło troszkę ikonki po zainstalowaniu kolejnych aplicacji stan sie poprawił (troszke przycina przy przewijaniu) 

....nie działa kart 1GB GoodRam (na poprzednim sterowniku działała)  ....

Wystarczy numerek wpisać i działa dalej. Problem w tym czy w ogóle działa to na tych odchudzonych ROMACH bo nie mam na czym sprawdzić.

Nie tylko Ty testujesz. Ja też testuje, a raczej używam juz normalnie.
Najbardziej podoba mi się, że otwarcie w File Explor'erze katalogu Windows zajmuje tylko 2 sekundy. Póki co wszystko dziala O.K.

CAUTION 2:

No i z okazji 8 marca powstała nowa wersja z nr 3

There is new phonepad for these who doesn't like original. If you try it, you can disable it in registry and there HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Security/Phone/Skin }find key "Enable" and change value from "1" to "0". Iyou can put back new phonepad, change the value back to "1".

Proszę o podpowiedz jak zainstalować ten ROM.
Skopiowałem całość na karte pamięci i uruchomiłem z karty i nic sie nie dzieje czarny ekran i informacje że USB jest gotowy i czeka na dowload.
Co dalej ?

Najpierw to rozpakuj i będziesz miał dwa pliki temp.bin oraz USBDLUpdate_Console.exe
* Formatujemy karte system FAT16 wgrywamy dwa pliki
* Do etena podłączamy zasilacz.
* Uruchamiamy etena w trybie bootloadera - naciskamy przyciski Voice Commander+Power i stylusem naciskamy w Reset po czym zwalniamy go.
* Po pojawieniu sie ekranu bootloadera zwalniamy przyciski Voice Commander+Power i następuje proces wymiany ROM-u.
* Pod jego koniec ładowane są ustawienia GPRS i pojawi się info "USB host is not connected yet" co oznacza koniec wymiany ROM-u.
* Odczekujemy parę chwil czy nie pojawi się jakaś "niespodzianka" - nie powinna się pojawić.
* Naciskamy przycisk Power i stylusem Reset po czym zwalniamy je - następuje pierwsze uruchomienie systemu, przy którym postępujemy zgodnie z   instrukcjami.
* Obserwujemy ekran - kiedy pojawi się ładowanie aplikacji  mamy max 3 sekundy by podjąć decycyzję - jeśli naciśniemy i przytrzymamy przycisk Camera to instalator ominie te aplikacje. Później wg własnego uznania możemy je doinstalować z opcji "Application Recovery".

Poza tym jak udało Ci sie wgrać ETEN X500 WM 6.1 ROM by PhamQuang to nie wiem z czym masz tutaj problem ?

Dzięki gulerek za tą podpowiedź wszystko sie udało.
Tamten ROM WM 6.1 zainstalowałem z pozycji komputera PC i nie miałem żadnych problemów. Fajny był ten ROM ale nie za każdym razem działało połączenie ze słuchawką BT i był problem z działaniem BT w trakcie używania AM.
Ten odchudzony ROM 6.0 działa bez zarzutu. Można by pewnie jeszcze coś tam wyrzucić bo po prostu się nie używa.
Jak byś miał coś ciekawego to proszę podaj na forum to chętnie przetestuję.

Totalna porażka wersja WM 6.1
Nie działaja wszystkie klawisze. A tak ogólnie to te wszystkie ROM-y gotowane gdzieś tam to są nie dopracowane.
Wracam do wersji WM 6.0 i konfiguracja moja:

Konfiguracja ROM-u Eten X500 z 22 aplikacjami ETENA i co zostało.

- Eten QUick Link 2.0
- SimManager 2.2
- Eten Satellite Data Update 1.0
- Eten GPRS Wizard 3.0
- Eten Backup Utility 3.2

i dodatkowo programy użyteczne na pamięci urządzenia:

- device lock
- pocet max radial
- jamsoft pocket counter
- ish inclose mobile

oraz na karcie pamięci:

- miplo miplosync
- automapa 4.5

Stan wolnej pamięci:

- dane 39.99 MB
- programy 29.91 MB

W takiej konfiguracji wszystko działa i to bardzo szybko działa.

Dlugo opieralem sie z wymiana WM5 na WM6. Znajac zbyt dobrze trendy firmy z Redmont, obawialem sie wiekszego zmulenia.
Zainstalowalem wiec odchudzona wersje WM6.X500.Panot.ver.3.0_ENG_nonSDHC i ... X500 smiga wyraznie szybciej od starego WM5
Po kilku godz intensywnego uzywania (AM4, TCPMP, PocketBreeze, SPB+, BT, wifi, vnc, Opera, terminal itd.) system nadal na pelnym speedzie i ok 29MB free ram

Jedyny problem to uzycie SOFT RESET ktory sie wiesza, i po ktoryms razie urzadzenie przestalo reagowac na PIN, pomogl dopiero HR 
Z tego co pisza inni forumowicze jest to jednak problem WM6 wiec ... trudno. Mam nadzieje ze omina mnie kolejne takie "atrakcje" 

Z aktualizacja do Panot WM6 lighted 3.15 raczej sie wstrzymam, bazuje na 3.1 ktory posiada w standardzie soft ktory i tak zawsze dogrywam (task manager ,pim backup).

Ogolnie BIG POZYTYW co do tego ROMu 

Wrzuciłem tą wersję 3,15 i jest naprawdę szybka - zainstalowałem na nią polską lokalizację - o chodzi szybciej niż oryginalny ROM bez lokalizacji. Od 2 dni zero resetu - 100% stabilnie

wgrałem sofcik na 500tke i kurcze mam problema, co chwila wsykskuje mi monit zebym sformatowł karte (Kingston 1gb), formatuje, i dalej to samo, jak jej nie sformatuje, to jej nie widzi. Zmieniam kartę na drugą identyczna, która była w palmie przed zmiana softu i jej nie widzi , czy ktoś wie jak mozna temu zaradzić?
