The Mio C510 and C710 can be easily customized thanks to a "turnkey" kit. Here's how to do it via Bluetooth :
1. Download the Unlock-C510-Mioskins.zip here
2. Unzip the contents : Miotool.exe, miomap.exe and Unlock-C510-Mioskins.cab
3. Via a Bluetooth connection from your computer (file transfer protocol), navigate to \my flash disk\miomap\MIOMAP and rename miomap.exe to miomap2.exe then transfer miomap.exe from the zip file to that folder and Miotool.exe and Unlock-C510-Mioskins.cab to the root folder of the Mio
4. Click on the MioMap icon on the Main Shell, this will take you to the file browser
5. Click on Miotool.exe to get the keyboard
6. Clock on Unlock-C510-Mioskins.cab and use the keyboard if necessary
6. Soft reset
7. Delete miomap.exe and rename miomap2.exe to miomap.exe
8. That's it, you're done !
it's a bit more complex, but you can also use this kit without Bluetooth, as explained (in French) in the deverrouillage_c510.pdf included in the .zip file
