"the only MUST-HAVE app for me (and I've always had a few that I really like to have) is PhoneAlarm,
this is the best program I have ever found for conserving that all important battery life.
it allows you to set profiles and then switch to these profile based on time, gps location etc. The result is that you can switch things on and off as you need them (bluetooth, wifi, etc etc) which results in minimal power being used when you don't need the things turned on. for example, I have mine set to switch to flight mode at 12pm and then turns back on at 6.30am, this means my phone is effectively off at night (using virtually no power) and switches back on in the morning without me having to do anything. Why not just turn the phone off I hear you ask, well because if I did that I couldn't use the alarm to wake me up in the morning, and I would have to suffer the reboot time (which, lets be honest, isn't great is it)"
