Witam was ! zainstalowal z pilku "sp26263.exe" na update ROM 1,10 dla palmtop HP h1940 a potem pokazuje ekran stoi i nie pomoglo restart.

Nie wiem co dalej to BootLoader, jak nastepnie zrobic? to nie trafilem tego.

probowalem jeszcze raz sp262663.exe a teraz pokazuje to ERROR (260) i napisalo:


" The ROM Update Utility has encountered communication error during the update process. To continue the update process, perfrom  the following:

1. Disconnent your IPAQ Pocket PC form file USB cable.

2. Pefrorm the following steps simultaneusly:
   
   - Press and hold the power button.

   - While holidng the power button, use the stytus to perfrom a normal reset.

3. Reconnect your IPAQ Pocket PC to the USB Cable.

4. Check than the communication cradle/ cable is connected properly.

5. Return the Rom update Utility.


A teraz nic jak cicho i niema dalej pracuje, czy wymaga na karta pamiec ?

make sure activesync is not running during update: that is, kill wcescomm before you start the update, otherwise activesync will get the usb interface ownership, and romupdate will fail.

The correct procedure is:
add updatefile key in the registry (see below)
kill activesync
detach ipaq from usb
hard reset it
connect again to usb
start the update

...and it should work

* how to add updatefile key in the registry:

use regedit

In HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ROMUpdateUtility\HB20
1) create a dword key called "ByPassBootloaderCheck" with the value 1
2) create string a key called UpdateFile, with the value
"C:\iPAQ\SP26263\H2B11020uo.nbf" (or whatever your rom file name).

Witam, może i powielę pytanie ale brakło mi już pomysłów na reanimację mojego iPAQ 1940. Nie wgrywałem żadnego romu,po prostu kiedyś po normalnym użytkowaniu wyłączyłem go po czym już nie potrafił obudzić się system. Po twardym resecie pokazuje się jedynie logo HP ,wersja 1.00 i ikona ładowania systemu po czym tak już zostaje. Problem tkwi w tym ,że za nic nie potrafię go obudzić na tyle aby Activesync go zobaczył. Po podłączeniu komp jedynie zainstalował - HP USB Sync- i to wszystko. AS nie widzi nic. Jest jakaś opcja na update romu np. z karty? Szkoda mi go wysłać w kosz bez próby reanimacji. Służył mi głównie jako AutoMapa i mimo wieku nie robił wcześniej żadnych numerów. Dzięki za ewentualne sugestie co z nim zrobić zanim do końca wyczerpie moją cierpliwość
