1) You <must> have the USB drivers installed from the CD, or the FS site, for your USB port to correctly recognize the Loox when it's in flash mode.
2) turn off virus scanners, and firewalls
3) Ensure the Loox is directly connected to the PC, not via the docking station, or some other hub
4) Ensure nothing else is connected via the USB port (including mouse)
5) Follow the Flash installer instructions careful (easy to get them wrong).
- Switch off the Loox via the slider switch at the bottom, and wait a couple of minutes.
- When prompted, by the instructions, turn it back on (the flash installer will wait for you)
- Turn it back on, whilst pressing the 2 buttons (as per the diagram), and moving the slider switch back. The Loox screen will remain blank, as if it's powered off, but the led should light up.
- Your PC should recognize the device. If you get the "please insert drivers" thing, then you have not installed the USB drivers yet, or at least not installed them correctly. In this case, you have to install the drivers, and most likely start again.
- This step, should only take a few seconds, before the installer recognizes the Loox, and lets you go on.
